A rep for Mary Tyler Moore tells E! News that the TV icon is “recovering nicely” after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor from the lining of her skull.
If that sounds like a lengthy procedure…that’s because it was.

“Mary Tyler Moore underwent a four hour procedure to remove a benign tumor of the covering of the skull,” read her rep’s official statement. “The tumor was resected in its entirety and she will require no additional treatment. According to her surgeon, she tolerated the procedure without difficulty and is recovering nicely with her husband at her bedside.”
Moore’s neurologist described the meningioma removal as a routine procedure—and, as it turns out, an elective one, with the 74-year-old actress choosing to have the surgery now after her doctors had been monitoring the growth for years.

As I was driving home, I was thinking to myself. What do other careless people think about when they take actions in their own hands, and not think the process through. Do they not think at all? Or do they simply just go on with their day and think the world evolves around them. As if they were the sun within our solar system. What do the people that break “rules” and know that they are doing so, feel? A rush of excitement? A rush of “Living on the edge”? Well what I am trying to get at, is these “rules” are their for a reason. A guideline for safety, health, or doing things the right way. Their are plenty of things that you can do on the side of your “life” that will give you that sudden rush. but why live your life Non-stop doing things that not only phase you, but others. Your family, friends, Or in this case strangers. So on with what I’m trying to get at…
Some ignorant/selfish person tonight could have taken my life tonight. It was a wake up call. It gave me a clearer mind set. It gave me the thought process that I have been looking for, for a very very long time. Okay okay on with the story…
As I was coming up to a four way stop sign, I turn my right blinker on. Right as I turned it on and stopped, I sat there for a few seconds (Something made me sit their a little longer than normal). I started to roll forward to make my turn, but as I started to roll, I saw a bright flash of light out of my left peripherals. I stomped on my breaks as hard as I could out of impulse. Now I look left, and not even a split of a second later a lifted truck jumps the little hill (street) that leads to the four way stop, and lands within 10 feet of the stop sign, and just blew right on through it. He must have been doing at least 120 mph. Immediately I started to shake out of anxiety, and all that I could think to myself was… “That could have been it. I could have been right there. That would have been the end of me…”“
